The Urbanites
(Collaglass set in oak stands)

Do you know your neighbours?  The Urbanites is a collection of work looking at the nature living next door - the flora and fauna thriving within our towns and cities.

As an artist, I am fascinated by the relationship between manmade and natural environments - in particular in man's attempt to exert order and control.  Nature has a delightful habit of thwarting these efforts: sometimes secretly creeping in at the margins, sometimes flagrantly claiming its own piece of prime real estate.

At present, the collection comprises five pieces: Dog Rose, King Cormorant, Midnight Fox, Roe Deer and Wrens.
