In the Wind (collaglass pieces set within drainage pipe, zinc)
In the Wind was a temporary installation for the Hub Gallery in Sleaford in 2005.
It was created in conjunction with a class of students at the Ash Villa School in Sleaford, using my collaglass process. Over two day-long workshops they created the collaged plates - which we initially used for printmaking.
Each student then chose their favourite work to be cast in glass - from which I created this piece.
The close-up image shows some of the detail from three of the seeds - and the texture and pattern achieved by the students.
